One common feature of start-up associations and businesses is the need to keep overheads low (and occasionally beg or borrow).  RCLC has been no different, naturally.

We are delighted to announce that through support of members and partners (benefactors, professional associations and sponsors), we have been able to scrape enough funds together to accept the very kind offer of Gold Coast City Council (introduction of Cr Grew) to rent a permanent room at the GCCC Robina Community Centre.

The room is provided by Council on considerably discounted terms. It will become our back office administrative headquarters, just upstairs from the advice evening room which we hire once per week, again on community service rates.

This advancement has called for enough money to not only cover rent but also buy some second-hand furniture and computer systems to run a community legal centre office.  Quite a committment.  Our new back office will become operational next month.
