The National Association of Community Legal Centres (NACLC) has held an annual conference every year since 1979. The Conference provides an important opportunity for workers from CLCs to gather together and learn from each other, hear from inspirational and interesting speakers and recharge their batteries.
In recent years, the National CLC Conference has attracted over 450 delegates from Community Legal Centres throughout Australia and New Zealand, Legal Aid and other government representatives, lawyers from the private profession and their professional associations, academics, students and others interested in social justice. People attend from all major capital cities and surrounding suburbs and from regional, rural and remote areas.
Every year the Conference is held in a different state or territory. In 2014 it was held in Alice Springs and this year it will be held in Melbourne.
