We are delighted to confirm that RCLC has been successful in procuring funding of $3,000 from the City of Gold Coast, Community Grants Program.

This local government grant will pay for approximately 40% of our rent and utilities bill for 2015/16, given we are on charity / not for profit rental rates at the Robina Community Centre.  Thank you sincerely to Cr Jan Grew, Mayor Tom Tate and City of Gold Coast staff for your continuing support.

The Council is committed to supporting not-for-profit incorporated community organisations that service the needs and priorities of the Gold Coast community (including schools, education establishments, religious institutions, chambers of commerce and welfare groups).

Unincorporated not-for-profit community organisations can apply for assistance through eligible incorporated sponsor organisations. Sponsor organisations must agree to take responsibility for the receipt, application and acquittal of the assistance provided.

The Council provides donations and grants through open and competitive programs where it can be demonstrated that assistance will make a positive and ongoing contribution to the public interest of the Gold Coast community. The Council also provides donations for Divisional Community Events independent of the competitive application programs as these events are considered important to community capacity building. Council needs to be able to deliver on this objective in a responsive, timely manner.
