We are delighted to announce successful application has been made to Cr Jan Grew, City Councillor for Division 11 for a grant of funding by the Divisional Donations Program 2014-15, Round 1.

Cr Grew’s office has just confirmed Robina Community Legal Centre’s success in the sum of $1,000.00.  This goes a long way to assist our operation at this early stage of our development.  Our application was as follows:

The RCLC requests a grant to assist with its ongoing operations. RCLC has a variety of expenses in order to maintain its operations including, but not limited to payment to the Council for hire of the Community Legal Centre, hardware costs (printers, lap tops, ipads, ink, paper etc), and regular expenses such as the duty phone bill and insurance costs. RCLC also aims to raise enough funds in the future to enable the RCLC to operate on additional days during week, as well as to employ a principal solicitor to manage the administrative and compliance burden of the operations in addition to providing legal advice to clients.
